Fruit Party 2 slot review

The Fruit Party 2 slot is Pragmatic Play’s 2021 follow-up to Fruit Party: the same 7x7 cluster pays grid, high volatility and a 5,000x top prize, with the RTP nudged up to 96.53%. This review sets out what actually changed, what the sequel costs to play in pounds and how UK stake rules affect it, especially for players under 25.

Fruit Party 2 slot: what the sequel keeps and changes

Sequels usually promise more, but on paper Fruit Party 2 is a close cousin of the 2020 original. Both are made by Pragmatic Play, both use a 49-position board and pay for groups of matching fruit, and both cap wins at 5,000 times the stake. The published differences are the release year and a small rise in RTP.

The sequel’s tumbles and scatter-triggered bonus are explained below; any changes to multipliers or detailed bonus rules are set out in each game’s own help screen, and that is where to compare them. Our original Fruit Party review covers the first game, and the slot reviews hub lists every title we cover.

How the Fruit Party 2 features work

The sequel’s published feature set is short, and it rests on two things: tumbling clusters on every spin and a bonus round opened by scatters.

Tumbling clusters

Every win on the seven-by-seven board comes from a cluster of matching fruit. Once a cluster pays, its symbols are cleared away and new symbols tumble down to fill the empty positions. That refill is a fresh arrangement, so it can form another cluster straight away, which is paid and cleared in turn. This is how Fruit Party 2 can deliver several consecutive wins from one press of the spin button; the spin only ends when a refill leaves no cluster on the board.

Think of it as one stake buying a chain rather than a single result. A 50p spin that produces three tumbling wins still cost 50p, and every win in the chain is paid from that one stake. The long-run price is unchanged: the 3.47% edge worked through below.

The free spins round

Scatter symbols are the way into the free spins round. How many scatters you need, how many spins you receive and any multipliers or extras inside the round are set out in the game’s help screen, and we don’t fill those gaps with numbers from elsewhere. Casinos.com’s Fruit Party 2 page (opens in a new tab) gives a general overview.

If you’ve played the original, read the paytable rather than assuming the rounds behave identically. UK players can’t buy the round, so scatters on normal spins are the only route in.

Does the higher Fruit Party 2 RTP make a difference?

The RTP rises from 96.47% to 96.53%, so the house edge falls from 3.53% to 3.47%. In plain money, the sequel costs 0.06p less per £1 staked on average. Here is what that gap amounts to over increasing amounts of total play:

Average cost of total stakes on each game
Total stakedFruit Party (3.53%)Fruit Party 2 (3.47%)Saving with the sequel
£2071p69pabout 1p
£100£3.53£3.476p
£500£17.65£17.3530p
£1,000£35.30£34.7060p

Those savings are real but tiny, far smaller than the swing of a single high-volatility session. If you prefer one game’s look or features, that is a perfectly good reason to choose it. What matters far more than 0.06 points is that the casino runs the published version, so open the rules and read the RTP line. Our page asking whether a higher RTP slot is better looks at when small differences count.

How you win on the Fruit Party 2 grid

Instead of reels and lines, the game fills a seven-by-seven board and pays for clusters of identical symbols that join up. The paytable shows the minimum group size and the value of each cluster size, symbol by symbol, so open it before your first spin.

The sequel removes winning symbols and drops new ones in, a system explained on our cascading reels page. Many grid games also add multipliers that grow during a chain; whether this one does is stated in its rules, which is the source to rely on rather than descriptions elsewhere.

A cluster that falls one symbol short isn’t a sign that a win is coming. The next spin is calculated independently.

Fruit Party 2 stakes for players aged 18 to 24

Since 21 May 2025, anyone aged 18 to 24 can stake no more than £2 per spin on an online slot in Britain; for those aged 25 and over the limit has been £5 since 9 April 2025. The government announced the £2 maximum for under-25s (opens in a new tab) as part of its gambling reforms, and our slot stake limits page explains how game cycles are counted.

Fruit Party 2 limits by age group

18 to 24£2£10,000£6.94
25 and over£5£25,000£17.35

Neither limit changes the odds. They limit how fast money can be lost, and they make the stakes most UK players use, often 10p to £1, look modest by comparison.

Three ways to spend £20 on Fruit Party 2

Here is £20 at three stake levels, spent once through without replaying wins. At 96.53% the average cost of that £20 is 69p in every case; the stake decides how many spins you get and how big the swings are.

£20 budget on Fruit Party 2
StakeSpins from £20Average costTop prize at stakeWhat to expect
10p20069p£500A long session with plenty of cluster chances
50p4069p£2,500A short session that can end in minutes
£12069p£5,000Very short; often no feature at all

Because the game is high volatility, most sessions finish below the average and a few finish well above it. If your goal is time on the game, the 10p line is the obvious choice. For a fuller explanation of session length, see how long £20 lasts on a slot.

How to play Fruit Party 2 step by step

  1. Make sure your casino account is verified; UK sites must confirm age and identity before you deposit or play demos.
  2. Set a deposit limit; casinos must prompt you to do this before your first deposit.
  3. Open Fruit Party 2, read the paytable and confirm the RTP in the rules.
  4. Pick a stake within your age limit and your budget.
  5. Spin manually, one round at a time, and keep an eye on the session timer and net spend display.
  6. Stop at your planned limit, and take a break if you feel the urge to chase losses.

Fruit Party 2 max win explained

The cap is 5,000 times the stake on any single spin, feature included. That gives £500 at 10p, £2,500 at 50p and £5,000 at £1. It is the same ceiling as the original game, so the sequel doesn’t offer a bigger top prize, only a fractionally better long-run return.

A cap that size sits in the middle of today’s range. Sugar Rush 1000, another Pragmatic 7x7 cluster game, publishes a 25,000x ceiling with very high volatility, showing the trade-off between ceiling and steadiness. Our explainer on max win caps goes into more detail.

UK design rules on the Fruit Party 2 slot

  • Every spin needs its own press; autoplay is banned for UK online casino games.
  • There must be at least 2.5 seconds from one spin starting to the next.
  • Turbo, quick spin and slam stop aren’t allowed.
  • The game can’t celebrate a return that is equal to or less than your stake.
  • Your net position and time played must be shown as you play.

Bonus buys are also absent. Following a Gambling Commission warning issued in January 2020 (opens in a new tab), feature buy-ins are not offered to British players. Our pages on game design rules and buying bonus rounds explain the background.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of Fruit Party 2?

Fruit Party 2 has a published RTP of 96.53%, which is a house edge of 3.47%. On average that costs about 3.5p for every £1 staked. It is slightly higher than the original Fruit Party’s 96.47%. Casinos can run other settings where offered, so confirm the figure in the game rules. See our slot RTP guide for how to find it.

Is Fruit Party 2 better than Fruit Party?

In value terms the two are almost identical. The sequel’s RTP is 0.06 percentage points higher, saving about 6p per £100 staked, while volatility, grid size and the 5,000x cap are the same. Which game you prefer comes down to theme and features, which are explained in each help screen. Our Fruit Party review has the original’s figures in full.

What is the max win on Fruit Party 2?

The max win is 5,000 times your stake, the same as the original. That is £500 at 10p, £5,000 at £1, £10,000 at the £2 limit for 18 to 24-year-olds and £25,000 at the £5 limit for over-25s. The cap is reached extremely rarely. Our page on what a slot’s max win means explains how to read it.

When was Fruit Party 2 released?

Fruit Party 2 was released in 2021 by Pragmatic Play, a year after the original Fruit Party arrived in 2020. Both are cluster pays games on a 7x7 grid. Pragmatic Play was founded in 2015 and is based in Gibraltar, and its catalogue includes Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus. Our Pragmatic Play page lists more of its slots.

What is the maximum stake on Fruit Party 2 for under-25s?

If you are aged 18 to 24, the most you can stake on Fruit Party 2, or any online slot in Britain, is £2 a spin. The limit has applied since 21 May 2025. Players aged 25 and over can stake up to £5. The limits don’t change the RTP, only the size of each bet. Our maximum slot stake page explains the rules.

Is Fruit Party 2 high volatility?

Yes, it is rated high volatility, like the original. That means quieter spells and a larger share of the return arriving through occasional bigger wins, so sessions vary a lot. A lower stake stretches your budget across more spins. If you prefer steadier results, our low volatility slots list suggests calmer alternatives.

Can you buy the bonus in Fruit Party 2 in the UK?

No. Since a Gambling Commission warning in January 2020, feature buy-ins are not offered to British players, because the Commission said they risked breaching its standards on game rules and chasing losses. On UK sites the bonus can only be reached through normal spins. Our UK feature buy page explains the position.

Is Fruit Party 2 a cluster pays slot?

Yes. It pays for groups of matching symbols that connect on its 7x7 grid instead of using paylines. The minimum group size and the payout for each cluster size are shown in the paytable. Winning clusters are cleared so new symbols can tumble in, and the help screen explains any multipliers. Our cluster pays guide covers the mechanic.
