Casino withdrawal times in the UK
Casino withdrawal times in the UK run from a few hours to five banking days, depending on two things: how long the casino takes to approve your request, and how long your payment method takes to move the money. Our partners publish times from instant after approval for e-wallets to up to 5 days for bank transfers.
Key takeaways
- Every withdrawal has two stages: the casino’s approval, then the payment method’s transfer time.
- Published partner times range from instant after approval (Casumo e-wallets) to up to 5 days (Casumo bank).
- There is no legal maximum withdrawal time in the UK, but casinos can’t cause unreasonable delay.
- Since 31 October 2021 you can’t reverse a withdrawal and play the money instead.
- Verifying your account before you ask to withdraw is the simplest way to avoid hold-ups.
- Coral and Ladbrokes range
- Instantly to 5 banking days after approval
- Visa Fast Funds (Coral, Ladbrokes)
- About 2 hours approval, then up to 4 hours
- Casumo approval
- Within hours; policy allows 3 days
- 10bet cards and e-wallets
- Up to 2 business days
- PlayOJO processing
- Most payments within a few hours
- Reverse withdrawals banned
- 31 October 2021
Casino withdrawal times UK: the short answer
If you want one number, there isn’t one. A withdrawal waits first for the casino to approve it, then for your bank, card scheme or wallet to deliver it. Our partners publish both stages differently, so the table below sets them out as each casino words them. For every other money topic, see our payments hub.
| Casino | Approval stage | Fastest published route | Slowest published route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral | Internal review; Visa Fast Funds approval typically a couple of hours | Visa Fast Funds: up to 4 hours after approval | Fast Bank Transfer: 2–4 business days after approval |
| Ladbrokes | Internal review; Visa Fast Funds approval typically a couple of hours | Visa Fast Funds: up to 4 hours after approval | Fast Bank Transfer: 2–4 business days after approval |
| Casumo | Reviewed within hours; policy allows up to 3 days | PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter: instant after approval | Bank: up to 5 days |
| PlayOJO | Most payments processed within a few hours | No per-method times published | No per-method times published |
| 10bet | No separate pending time published | Cards and e-wallets: up to 2 business days | Bank transfer: up to 3 business days |
The two stages behind every withdrawal time
Stage one is approval. The casino checks that your account is verified, that no bonus terms are outstanding and that the payment method is one you’re allowed to withdraw to. During this time the request usually shows as pending. Our guide to pending withdrawals covers what happens in that window.
Stage two is transfer. Once approved, the money is handed to the payment provider. Card schemes, banks and wallets each have their own speed, and bank-based routes may only count working days. Coral’s withdrawal timeframes page (opens in a new tab) makes the split explicit: its quoted times of instantly to five banking days are on top of internal processing.
| Stage | Who controls it | What speeds it up | What slows it down |
|---|---|---|---|
| Approval | The casino | A fully verified account, no active bonus | Missing documents, first withdrawal, large sums |
| Transfer | Bank, card scheme or wallet | E-wallets and card fast-payment routes | Standard bank transfers, weekends and bank holidays |
Withdrawal times by UK casino: what each partner publishes
Coral and Ladbrokes
Both brands are run by LC International Limited and publish matching rules. A review team approves each request, then money takes from instantly to five banking days depending on the method. The quickest route is Visa Fast Funds: Ladbrokes’ Visa Fast Funds page (opens in a new tab) says approval typically takes a couple of hours and the money then typically reaches your bank within 4 hours, with payouts over £2,000 taking longer. Fast Bank Transfer takes 2–4 business days once approved. See Coral withdrawals and Ladbrokes withdrawals.
Casumo
Casumo says on its UK site (opens in a new tab) that withdrawals are reviewed and processed within a matter of hours, and its withdrawal policy says a request is approved or denied within 3 days. After approval, card payouts take up to 2 days, bank payouts up to 5 days, and PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter are instant. Details are in our Casumo withdrawals guide.
PlayOJO
PlayOJO says it processes the majority of payments within a few hours and sends money back to the deposit method where possible. It doesn’t publish per-method transfer times, so the bank or wallet’s own speed applies after that. Verification documents may be requested after your first withdrawal request; PlayOJO aims to check them within 12 hours. See PlayOJO withdrawals.
10bet
10bet’s help article on when you’ll receive your withdrawal (opens in a new tab) gives up to 2 business days for debit cards and e-wallets and up to 3 business days for bank transfers. It doesn’t publish a separate pending time, saying only that it aims to process withdrawals as quickly as possible. More on 10bet withdrawals.
Casino withdrawal times by payment method
Read across by method rather than by casino and a pattern appears: e-wallets and card fast-payment routes are quickest after approval, and standard bank transfers are slowest. Times below are after approval.
| Method | Coral / Ladbrokes | Casumo | 10bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Debit card | Visa Fast Funds: typically up to 4 hours | Up to 2 days | Up to 2 business days |
| PayPal | Within the instantly-to-5-banking-days range | Instant | Up to 2 business days (e-wallet) |
| Apple Pay | Within the instantly-to-5-banking-days range | Instant | Not published |
| Skrill / Neteller | Not published | Instant | Up to 2 business days (e-wallet) |
| Bank transfer | Fast Bank Transfer: 2–4 business days | Up to 5 days | Up to 3 business days |
Method guides go further: debit card casinos, PayPal casinos and bank transfer casinos.
Worked example: when does a £120 withdrawal arrive?
Take a fully verified player with no bonus active who asks for £120 at 10am on a Monday. Using the published figures, here is roughly when the money would land. These are illustrations of the published maximums and typical times, not promises.
| Casino and method | Approval (published) | Transfer (published) | Likely arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral, Visa Fast Funds | Typically a couple of hours | Typically up to 4 hours | Monday afternoon |
| Coral, Fast Bank Transfer | Typically a couple of hours | 2–4 business days | Wednesday to Friday |
| Casumo, PayPal | Within hours (up to 3 days) | Instant | Monday, or by Thursday at the outside |
| Casumo, card | Within hours (up to 3 days) | Up to 2 days | Tuesday to Saturday |
| 10bet, bank transfer | Not published | Up to 3 business days | By Thursday after approval |
Move the same request to Friday evening and the business-day routes stretch over the weekend. That’s why a bank transfer requested late in the week can take noticeably longer in calendar days than its quoted time.
What UK rules say about casino withdrawal times
No Gambling Commission rule sets a maximum number of hours or days for a withdrawal; the times above are the operators’ own. What the rules do set is the principle. The Commission’s page for players who can’t withdraw their winnings (opens in a new tab) says you can withdraw at any time without unreasonable delay or restriction, and you don’t have to take money in instalments.
Other rules protect the process. Casinos can’t cap how much you withdraw from your deposit balance, and a withdrawal request shouldn’t trigger requests for information the casino could reasonably have asked for earlier. Since 31 October 2021, under the Commission’s ban on reverse withdrawals (opens in a new tab), you can’t be offered the option to cancel a withdrawal request.
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 14 April 2020 | Credit card gambling banned for all UK-licensed gambling |
| May 2020 | Commission guidance on preventing reverse withdrawals |
| 31 October 2021 | Reverse withdrawal ban (RTS 14B) in force for all remote operators |
| 28 February 2025 | Financial vulnerability checks triggered at £150 net deposits in 30 days |
| 19 January 2026 | Bonus wagering capped at 10x the bonus |
Why casino withdrawals take longer than the published time
- Verification isn’t finished. PlayOJO, for example, may ask for documents after your first withdrawal request. See ID checks for withdrawals.
- The method doesn’t match. Casinos send money back to the deposit method where possible. Ladbrokes and Coral need a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months for a PayPal withdrawal.
- A bonus is active. At 10bet, withdrawing before wagering is complete forfeits the bonus and its winnings. Your own deposit balance stays withdrawable; our guide to withdrawing with a bonus active explains.
- The amount is large. Coral and Ladbrokes say Visa Fast Funds payouts above £2,000 take longer.
- It’s not a working day. Routes quoted in business or banking days pause at weekends and on bank holidays.
If a request has been pending longer than expected, our answer to why a casino withdrawal is pending walks through the usual causes.
How to request a casino withdrawal without hold-ups
- Upload your ID and proof of address when you sign up, not when you first want to cash out.
- Deposit with the method you’d like to be paid back to, ideally an e-wallet or a debit card with a fast-payment route.
- Check whether any bonus is active and what its terms say before asking to withdraw.
- Open the cashier, choose Withdraw, pick the method and enter the amount.
- Note the time; compare it with the casino’s published approval and transfer times.
- If it runs well over, contact support, and keep a written record of what they say.

If your withdrawal is taking too long
Start with the casino’s support team and ask what’s outstanding. If that doesn’t settle it, make a formal complaint using the casino’s published procedure. The casino has 8 weeks to resolve it; after that it must offer to refer you to an independent alternative dispute resolution provider, which is free. Our page on complaints and ADR lists the steps, and the Commission itself doesn’t decide individual disputes.
Withdrawal times and safer gambling
A pending withdrawal used to be a temptation, because some sites let you cancel it and keep playing. The reverse withdrawal ban removed that option, which is good for anyone trying to bank a win. If you notice you’re tempted to replay money you’ve asked to withdraw, that’s a sign to step back; our guide to chasing losses explains why.
Remember the bigger picture. Casino games have a built-in house edge, so over many bets the average result is a loss, and a withdrawal is simply the part you decided to keep. Frequently asked questions
How long do casino withdrawals take in the UK?
Anything from a few hours to about five banking days at our partners. Coral and Ladbrokes quote instantly to five banking days after approval, Casumo lists instant e-wallet payouts and up to 5 days by bank, 10bet gives up to 2 business days for cards and e-wallets, and PlayOJO says most payments are processed within a few hours. Approval time comes first. Our quick answer to how long casino withdrawals take summarises it.
What is the fastest casino withdrawal method?
On published figures, e-wallets and card fast-payment routes. Casumo lists PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter as instant after approval, and Coral and Ladbrokes say Visa Fast Funds typically takes a couple of hours to approve and up to 4 hours to arrive. Bank transfers are slowest. Approval still comes first, so a verified account matters more than the method. See our guide to fast withdrawal casinos.
Why is my casino withdrawal still pending?
Usually because the casino hasn’t finished approving it. Common reasons are incomplete verification, a withdrawal method that doesn’t match your deposit method, an active bonus, or a large amount; Coral and Ladbrokes say Visa payouts above £2,000 take longer. Weekends also pause business-day routes. You can’t cancel the request and replay the money, as UK rules ban that. Our guide to pending withdrawals explains what to check and when to chase.
Is there a legal time limit for casino withdrawals in the UK?
No fixed number of days is set in the rules. The Gambling Commission says you should be able to withdraw at any time without unreasonable delay or restriction, and you don’t have to accept payment in instalments. Casinos also can’t cap withdrawals from your deposit balance. If you think a delay is unreasonable, complain to the casino, then to an ADR provider after 8 weeks. Our page on complaints and ADR covers each step.
Do casino withdrawals take longer at weekends?
They can. Routes quoted in business or banking days, such as Coral and Ladbrokes’ Fast Bank Transfer at 2–4 business days or 10bet’s bank transfer at up to 3 business days, don’t count Saturdays, Sundays or bank holidays. A Friday evening request by bank can take noticeably longer in calendar days. E-wallet and card fast-payment routes are less affected once approved. See bank transfer casinos for more on bank-based payouts.
Does verification slow down my first withdrawal?
It can, which is why verifying early helps. Casinos must check your age and identity before you gamble, but further documents may be requested later; PlayOJO says it may ask after your first withdrawal request and aims to verify within 12 hours. UK rules say a casino shouldn’t ask at withdrawal for information it could reasonably have requested earlier. Our guide to casino account verification lists what to have ready.
Can I cancel a casino withdrawal once I have requested it?
No, not at a UK-licensed casino. Since 31 October 2021 the Gambling Commission has banned reverse withdrawals, so operators can’t offer you the option to cancel a request and play the money again, and they shouldn’t invite you to redeposit it. The rule exists because reversing withdrawals was linked to harmful play. If the delay is the problem, contact support instead. Our withdrawal guide explains what to expect after requesting.
Does an active bonus affect withdrawal times?
It can affect whether winnings are withdrawable, which is often what holds things up. At 10bet, withdrawing before wagering is complete forfeits the bonus and winnings from it. Your own deposit balance must always be withdrawable, and wagering can’t be applied to it. No-wagering spin offers such as Coral’s, Ladbrokes’ and PlayOJO’s pay winnings without that hurdle. Read withdrawing with a bonus active for the full rules.
